Super Mario Maker – Behind the Scenes
Today, in honor of the new Super Mario Maker, Nintendo has released a behind-the-scenes look at the original 1985 Super Mario Bros. and how it transitions into this newly released do-it-yourself experience. Watching those mad geniuses, Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka, show the original graphing paper stages was a real treat. If you can look at the graphing paper from the video and know exactly where those series of blocks and platforms are located in the original game, you know you’re a huge Mario nerd. Even crazier is seeing the series of blocks and having memories flash through your mind about how you played through those levels. For example, the video showed the beginning of Level 1-2 and I immediately though of the order that I broke the squares of bricks…and how to get to the secret brick that had up to 10 coins hidden in them.
Can someone still explain to me why Mario breaks bricks with his head?
While you ponder that brick logic, check it out below.
