Highlights from NYCC 2015

Good morning, fellow geeks. New York Comic Con 2015 is officially behind us! The jam-packed show that annually graces the Jacob J. Javitz Convention Center has once again proved to be the premiere “con” of the east coast.  If you were able to attend the show, kudos to you. If not, you have no idea on what you’re missing out on. Let’s review some of the awesome moments from this past weekends events!

The most exciting news out of NYCC ’15 is that Breaking Bad actor, Bryan Cranston, wants to join the super villain work force. During the  “Super Mansion’s” panel, Cranston stated that he’d like to play Mister Sinister in the X-Men movie franchises. All we can say to that is, make it happen, FOX!

Building off of Cranston’s desire to play a super villain, it’s easy to state that we’re in the midst of a super hero renaissance on the big screen. (or a super villain renaissance, whatever floats your kayak.) The awesomely talented actors, that portray our favorite super heroes and villains, can easily become overwhelmed by the fandom. The top stars will usually skip show floor attendance and stick the the back rooms. However, there are some brave souls among us. Thankfully for them, there’s cosplay and the art of disguise.

First up, Mark Ruffalo’s ridiculous, yet effective disguise.

Got to hide out and enjoy #comiccon2015

How about Jard Leto’s disguise? The cosplayer had no idea.

Next we have one of my favorite moments from NYCC ’15. The Justice League Unlimited reunion panel, brought to you by THEGREYGH0ST. Bruce Timm and company really created something special and it was amazing to see the main cast on stage. As you all know, there is an upcoming brand new Justice League animated series. I hope they build off of Hawkgirl and Jon Stewarts relationship woes.

Another big announcement from NYCC ’15 is that Toyman will be the first mainstream villian CBS’, Supergirl. The rumor was finally confirmed during the “Warner Bros. Television Takeover” panel.

Best cosplay of NYCC ’15? Easy. Hulkbuster.

This was easily the best #cosplay at #NYCC
