D23 2015: Pixar Upcoming Films in Poster
The GameFob Network was fortunate enough to get media passes for the first time into the D23 Expo this year. The diversity of the Walt Disney portfolio was on full display this morning. You sometimes can’t help but geek out as you realize how much fanboyism the company actually wields in its intellectual properties. From Star Wars to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in film, to the Disney Channel, ESPN, and ABC, it’s “impressive” with the Darth Vader voice. We haven’t even mentioned the theme parks yet either.
While cruising past the John Lasseter Collection and inside/out of the Pixar booth (see what I did there?), we ran into an impressive line-up of Pixar film posters. It was a very noteworthy line-up, one that speaks to the intent and direction of the animation house to expand on its current franchises. However, the company is also keen on creating new stories. This is evident with The Good Dinosaur out this Thanksgiving and the just-announced Coco for late 2017 from the director of Toy Story 3.
The upcoming line-up from the Emeryville-based studio is:
- The Good Dinosaur (November 25, 2015)
- Finding Dory (June 17, 2016)
- Toy Story 4 (June 16, 2017)
- Coco (November 22, 2017)
- The Incredibles 2 ( ReleaseTBD)
- Cars 3 (Release TBD)
Frankly, we can’t wait for the release of these films. Knowing Pixar and the care they pour into their films…these won’t just be rushed efforts in an attempt to milk the cash cow. Now we’re heading back to the performance stage to do some “Whip and Nae Nae” with the Disney Channel.
